LHA Call For Papers - The Louisiana Historical Association invites paper proposals for its annual meeting to be held in Lafayette, March 25-27, 2010. Proposals for individual papers are welcomed, though organized panels are preferred. We seek topics representing all aspects of Louisiana history and culture. While the focus of the conference is Louisiana history, we also accept papers on the history of the South, the United States, Central and South America, Europe, and other areas (in that order of preference). Proposal deadline is September 1, 2009. Proposals should include a one-page description of the topic and the presenter’s short résumé. Direct these materials to the program chair: Ryan André Brasseaux, 33 Long Hill Terrace, New Haven, CT 06515; email: ryan.brasseaux@yale.edu. Presentations should run approximately twenty to twenty-five minutes in two-paper sessions, fifteen minutes in three-paper sessions. Individuals will be informed of the status of their respective proposals by mid-October. |
