    (Thursday, March 13, 6pm) Food and Drink Reception at LSU's Hill Memorial Library (95 Field House Drive, Baton Rouge, 70803).

    Hill Memorial Library houses the LSU Libraries Special Collections, which is comprised of more than 200,000 volumes of published works, 10 million manuscript items, 200,000 historic photographs, 16,000 reels of newspaper microfilm, hundreds of oral histories and other diverse materials for research.

  • Phi Alpha Theta Luncheon

    (Friday, March 14, noon) Buffet-Style Lunch, PAT Address, and Award Presentation (on site)

    Phi Alpha Theta is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of History. The society has over 350,000 members, with about 9,500 new members joining each year through 860 local chapters. The Louisiana regional meeting of PAT is held each year in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Louisiana Historical Association. It is a unique opportunity for students to present their historical research before an audience of experts within their field of study. The speaker at this year's PAT luncheon buffet will be Archivist Michelle Riggs Waller of Louisiana Tech University.

    (Friday, March 14, 7pm) Buffet-Style Dinner, LHA Presidential Address, and Awards Ceremony (on site)

    The banquet of the Louisiana Historical Association is the high point of the organization's annual meeting. In addition to the presidential address, awards and honors are announced. This year's LHA presidential address will be delivered by Dr. Karen Leathem of the Louisiana State Museum.
