    (Thursday, March 16, 6pm at the Historic Hotel Bentley)

    The Hotel Bentley is located at 200 Desoto Street, which is directly adjacent to the conference host hotel. Constructed in 1907, the Hotel Bentley is a Central Louisiana treasure that has been serving guest for well over a century. Food and beverage will be provided and there will be an acoustic musical performance.

  • Phi Alpha Theta Luncheon

    (Friday, March 17, noon)

    Phi Alpha Theta is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of History. The society has over 350,000 members, with about 9,500 new members joining each year through 860 local chapters. The Louisiana regional meeting of PAT is held each year in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Louisiana Historical Association. It is a unique opportunity for students to present their historical research before an audience of experts wtihin their field of study. The speaker at this year's PAT luncheon buffet will be retired archivist Faye Phillips of Louisiana State University.

  • LHA Banquet

    (Friday, March 17, 7pm)

    The banquet of the Louisiana Historical Association is the high point of the organization's annual meeting. In addition to the presidential address, awards and honors are announced. This year's LHA presidential address will be delivered by Dr. Charles Pellegrin of Northwestern State University of Louisiana.

  • LHA Saturday Afternoon Tour

    (Saturday, March 18, 1pm) Louisiana Maneuvers & Military Museum at Camp Beauregard

    Built as a replica WWII barracks, this museum houses memorabilia and artifacts from the WWII era, as well as WWI and earlier time periods. View life size military vehicles, authentic military uniforms, and historic pieces from the home front. The Museum is located at 623 G Street in Pineville, Louisiana, which is on Camp Beauregard, an active military base.
